This is a lovely post to read. Lightheartedness, time spent in nature, truly connecting with people we love feel like the most subversive acts in this strange world! Thank you <3

Thank you for being here, now, in this world. You are so right. It’s what we can do and sometimes it is more than enough. I want to get back to where it wasn’t always about what we produced and more about what we laughed at and loved and showed compassion for. All the giggles and the smiles. How funny these things take work whenever once they were our nature. 🤔❤️

Yes, I do believe it's our true nature. My husband and I have often commented when watching videos of communities who still live in tune with nature, that they laugh and smile and tell bawdy stories and tease each other and constantly reaffirm the bonds of kinship. The fact it's noticeable shows how far we've strayed I think. Another thing, which you touched on in your piece, adult 'fun' and bonding (that isn't productive in some way) often seems to need to be accompanied by alcohol. Like, otherwise you've no excuse?! Maybe that's one reason (one of many, I know firsthand it's a complex issue) that we have so many problems with alcohol misuse. I appreciate your writing, thank you :0)

Oh I think playing with any animal is a kind of therapy all in its own… so … good for you because it’s so good for you. Thank you for reading. I thought perhaps something lighter would help. Appreciate you! ❤️
